WORLD AIDS DAY

    On 1st December 2011 World AIDS Day was celebrated in the college. Theme of this year is “Getting to zero” which essentially means zero new HIV cases, Zero discrimination and zero AIDS related deaths. The program started with lamp lightening ceremony done by Principal Mrs. Veena Williams, Vice Principal Dr. Mrs. Harbans Kaur and faculty members.The unfolding of the theme was done by Lecturer Mrs. Baljinder Kaur. To spread knowledge role play was presented by G.N.M I year which focused on causes, prevention and treatment of AIDS. Rangoli competition and Declamation contest were also organized on the theme in which students from all the classes participated. The winners of both the competitions were rewarded with medals and certificates. At the end Principal Mrs. Veena Williams motivated the students to spread this knowledge in public and as they come in contact with such persons in hospitals,they should care for them without any discrimination. LIFE IS NOT A GAME SELF PROTECTION FOR EVERYONE.
